Hey friends,

I have a friend who is really questioning their faith right now...

This person has recently lost a sibling in a very tragic car accident

and could possibly lose a step parent in the very near future...

I've known this person for years and know they have a great heart

but when ones faith is tested this way - what do you say???

Telling them it is going to be ok just seems so cliche'...

Sometimes there's just no words for these situations...some times it's just action needed. Take them out for coffee, drop them a note in the mail just saying that you're thinking about them... There are no "right" words if you haven't experienced it yourself 100%.

Niki's advice is great.  Presence is very important.  It might also help if you share a time that you questioned your faith.  Being in a spiritual desert is a very lonely place to be.  I have a book you can borrow if you like.  The title is "Don't Sing Songs to a Broken Heart" by Kenneth Hauck.
